So I got an e-mail from Susan down at Games Magazine, for the first time in a while, and among some administrative matters and a few other things she mentioned that they're using three of my puzzles in the February issue. Three is very, very good. That alone makes me giddy.

But here's the best part: For the first time since I started, they're giving me the cover.

Aw, hell, yeah. Honestly, I try not to let these things go to my head. Most of my stuff is crosswordy and crypticky things, highly unsuitable as cover material, and this one happened to be an exception. And I'm still nowhere near the top of my craft—not even remotely close. But...well, um, would you all mind if I did let it go to my head, just this once? Just for a little while? Please?

woohoo!!

Dude, as one who is slavishly devoted to both Games publications without ever finishing all the puzzles and flails them in public merely to up her coolness quotient ... and as one who thinks an association with said publication is already rather amazement-worthy, Steens hereby offers you the following compliment:

that's almost as good as being Mr. Beatrice!

I mean almost--not quite ;) Still, you MUST let it go to your head. I insist. ::makes note in January calendar:: Yay!

This is so cool. Wow. You are the closest thing to a celebrity in my book so yeah, let it go to your head. But not too much. You still want to fit through the bathroom door. That's always the standard for [livejournal.com profile] kyril If he can't fit through the bathroom door then his head is too big.

*laugh* This is a very broad definition of "celebrity" you're working with, comrade.

Ye gods, you were around when I was doing that goofy trivia contest back in Champaign. Thank you for the kind words! (As for the centerfold idea... *grumble*)

That's awesome, congratulations.

I used to love Games Magazine--in middle school, oddly, when I couldn't finish most of the puzzles--but then I'd forgotten about it since then. That is a very cool magazine though.

By all means, do it! (Oh, and I got an e-mail from your friend asking about submitting. If you talk to her, send my apologies for not writing back yet; I want to respond well, but I've been lacking the time to do so. It's coming, though.)

Sure it can! Congrats :)

May I still send you discs for the hugemongous mix? If you'd like me to wait, since you've had recent bereavement and other things which take much time and energy, that's fine.
