Freelancing victory
Oct. 21st, 2004 01:18 amSo I got an e-mail from Susan down at Games Magazine, for the first time in a while, and among some administrative matters and a few other things she mentioned that they're using three of my puzzles in the February issue. Three is very, very good. That alone makes me giddy.
But here's the best part: For the first time since I started, they're giving me the cover.
Aw, hell, yeah. Honestly, I try not to let these things go to my head. Most of my stuff is crosswordy and crypticky things, highly unsuitable as cover material, and this one happened to be an exception. And I'm still nowhere near the top of my craft—not even remotely close. But...well, um, would you all mind if I did let it go to my head, just this once? Just for a little while? Please?

that's almost as good as being Mr. Beatrice!
I mean almost--not quite ;) Still, you MUST let it go to your head. I insist. ::makes note in January calendar:: Yay!

Date: 2004-10-21 08:13 am (UTC)I used to love Games Magazine--in middle school, oddly, when I couldn't finish most of the puzzles--but then I'd forgotten about it since then. That is a very cool magazine though.
