Dammit, in my entry of yesterday, I neglected to mention the phone call from krystynayt the night before. *facepalm* So good to chat with you; wishing you the best, and hope you're feeling better.

Now, today. The heat started breaking a bit, and with any luck we'll be back to the miserable Vague Cold that enables me to live in long-sleeved abject denial. (I adore the Northeast.) rafaela and I spent some good quality time in the company of the ever-nifty sailorsgrrl, including a brief dip in Lake George. I don't think we were planning on it being all that brief, but the lake thawed from its winter ice-over around, oh, say, last Thursday, and you can tell. That, and the green pollen cast over a decent area of the water's surface (Pollen ®: Nature's Allergen Spooge). Ah, well, 'twas fun, regardless.

Tomorrow, a drive into the wilds of the 413 area code to attend an evening of classical theatre [read: my daughter's after-school program's talent show]. Should be a gas, in the way that only elementary school productions can be. Note to self: Make sure the Advil is topped up, and dig out that hip flask. Ah, well, 'twill be fun, regardless.
