I got an e-mail from Wayne over at Games; they're buying a contest I wrote called "A Beautiful Cut" for the main magazine. *happydance* It's been almost half a year since they've bought anything, so I'm quite the happy. (Actually, one of the main reasons it's been so long is my inability to get off my duff and actually type up and submit some of the 5,902 finished puzzles in my notebook, so I blame them not.) Look for it in the October issue.

On a related note, I've literally lost two nights of sleep because of a crossword-y thing I was writing. More specifically, there was one f*@!ing row that I could not make work, and I spent hours in bed working and reworking combinations in my head. Seriously, the same six letters, over and over again, trying to find something, any thing that would not only fit but be interesting enough for publication. I finally cracked the bastard today—partially by lowering my standards by half a notch—so tonight should be more restful.

*sigh* I have got to get a better hobby.....

Aw, shucks. *grin* I'm still faced with the fact, though, that every single f*%!ing puzzle is interrupted with at least three or four cussing fits by me, screaming at the gods who Won''t Make This F*%!er Work. Not exactly a relaxing pastime, this.
