Lookie! Shiny fire trucks!

Y'know, just when you think you're about to have another depressing, miserable, stomach-achingly stressful work day, something comes along to turn it around. In this case, a fire alarm went off, and we had to evacuate the building for a half-hour. And I'd even brought my coat to my desk. Woohoo!

Just got my copy of Richard Thompson's new one, The Old Kit Bag, shipped in all the way from England. My review is as follows:

Oh, my fucking God, YOU. MUST. OWN. THIS. ALBUM.

I'm still listening, so I'll have to wait on the full, coherent critique. But I can say that if the rest holds up, this may be among Richard's very best. Yes, I'm dead serious.
