[discussing Daniel, Abbey's second cousin]

Abbey: Mommy, something's wrong with Daniel.
Kristi: What's that?
Abbey: Well, the last time I saw him, he wouldn't play with me.
Kristi: Yeah, well, boys are like that. They'll play with you, then they'll stop playing, then they'll play with you again, then they'll stop again. And they never tell you why they're not playing with you...
Abbey: Daddy, why are you laughing so hard?
Kristi: ...but the thing is, they're always playing with you, even when they're not.
Me: And tomorrow, Abbey, we'll talk about what girls do.
Kristi: Like sit there and take it.

Sigh... Did I mention that I'm still nuts over Kristi?

Our collective take from the LARAC Arts and Crafts Thingy:

* a ceramic rice bowl and chopsticks; my Father's Day gift from Kristi. (Thank you, hon! *contented sigh*)
* two jars of dilled asparagus
* five bars of herbal soap: three for Kristi (one patchouli and two cinnamon), one for me (bay rum), and a freebie thrown in for Abbey (chocolate)
* one jar blueberry jam
* three jars aioli: one sambal, one green mustard, and one regular
* a pair of poppy jasper earrings for Kristi
* an origami violet for Abbey
* a child-sized ring
* a wooden toy airplane for Nik
* a balloon yoyo for Abbey, which everybody seemed to be selling this year
* Abbey's face painting of a blue flower
* lunch: one hot dog, one hamburger, one slice of pizza, one Sierra Mist, and one coronary on a plate fried dough
* two lemonades
* at least two child-induced migraines (complimentary)

Wow. Um, cool. It looks like I'll be instituting the RaveTen, then.

FORMAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Starting this week, RaveTen will appear in this journal every Monday, weather permitting. Thanks, all, for chiming in! (And by the way, if anyone's inclined to do their own lists, by all means, the more the merrier! *grin*)

I was just wondering: So far, pretty much everyone and his/her dermatologist has posted their LJ Match compatability chart. But has anyone ever used LJ Match for its intended purpose? Like, to actually meet people?
