Alla breve

1) A few people on my friends list have been cursed with exanimate computers, essentially making them incommunicado for several days. I'm realizing just how much of a lifeline the Internet is for me right now; if Muckle John, my trusted iMac, should happen to bite the wax tadpole, I'm doomed....

2) Abbey said the scariest thing I have ever heard her say: "No! I don't want to wear that coat! It makes me look fat!" *holds head in hands and groans* She's six, ladies and gentlemen. I was hoping we could avoid this one entirely.

3) Updated my interests list (I forgot to mention Sandy Denny why, exactly?) and tidied up my friends list slightly. I feel so accomplished.

4) The CyberHermitage is starting to wear on me a wee bit. Might go out tonight...

5) I'd take a moment to grouse about how much Robert Lodge's "trivia" contests are getting on my nerves, but I don't think the majority of y'all would much care.

My proverbial cup proverbially runneth over...

I haven't so much as glanced at the instant messengers today, but my friends gave been so good as to fill the gaps. First it was a magnificent phone call with rafaela, who never fails to brighten my day (*hugs* to you, m'dear!). Then it was Colleen, calling to invite me to Blair Witch Project and cocktails at her place, thus answering my persistent question of what I'd be doing tonight (woohoo!). Then I discovered that the mail had arrived, and with it the bird mix from catamorphism that I'd forgot was on its way (thank you!). And finally, in came a pleasant-surprise call from enegim out of the clear blue yonder (yay!). All in all, an extraordinarily good day.

I have more to tell, about excavating the long-neglected storage shed, but I need to get showered before the movie begins....
