Updates on a few small matters

rafaela miraculously cured me of my Billy Joel earworm by uttering two words, and two words only. Unfortunately, those two words were "Mexican Radio."
2) A caller today wailed at length about not being able to reach her daughters, whom she "gave their very lives," unquote. When I asked her for her daughters' number(s), she replied, "Oh, no, no, I would never give out their numbers to a complete stranger." She found herself listening to a dial tone very shortly after.
3) Did I mention that I made it into a Roger Ebert book? I forgot that he reprints all of the year's contributions to the Ebert's Little Movie Glossary at the end of every Annual Movie Guide, which means you can find my name and suggestion in the 2006 edition. Eeeee! (Anna had to tell me to stop bouncing around Border's.)
4) Summer has my permission to be over now.
5) Because I've been bad about glossing over such things: I am long overdue in thankingbotia, icarusfallen8, lbitw, jenphalian, and zarhooie for helping keep me sane. I love you guys! Oh, and also to LJ-less Frigga and Asgar, for giving me leftover chicken. Yay, leftover chicken!
