rafaela won't let me put "Robot Cat" on the answering machine. Boo.
2) Love, the recent Cirque du Soleil-commissioned Beatles mash-up/remix album by George Martin and son? Freakin' amazing. Starting with "Because" reimagined as a a capella number, then fading in with the piano chord from the end of "A Day in the Life" played backward until it's joined by the string crescendo from same; both crash headlong into the opening chord of "A Hard Day's Night," this time sustained long enough to support Ringo's drum solo from "The End," which overlaps (along with the guitar solos of same) with the lead-in to "Get Back," and then...and then.... Goddamn, did they nail this.
3) Nik is having a difficult time of it, in the form of reacting badly in school. I'm not willing to drag through the details in this forum, but he's on my mind right now. He'll be okay (I think), but I hate not knowing what to do.
4) On a happier note, we're leaving for Arisia in two days. Woohoo! In this regard:
