Round Two continues today with the same ol' same ol': for each pairing, select the movie you prefer, so that the winner of each contest may advance to the next round. Oh, and while I have you here, I've come to a decision regarding breaking ties. Popular vote leans heavily toward holding a run-off; a few people, meanwhile, have suggested making it a one-vote runoff, where the first vote to come in is the one that counts. Intriguing, but I am going to split the difference: Ties from Round 1 will be decided by a blitz runoff poll lasting no more than 20 minutes, to be held at an undisclosed time within the next 36 hours. The this and the that of it all

1) I just made rafaela watch Charlie the Unicorn at Candy Mountain. She proceeded to threaten something a tad more sensitive than my kidneys. (Oh, and jenphalian? Since you're the one who unwittingly convinced me to watch the thing in the first place? You're going to have to die. Nothing personal. I'm sure you'll understand.)

2) I just got a phone call from my dad, who's currently sleep-deprived in Bombay. The main purpose of said call: so that I can say I got a phone call from Bombay. I love my parents.
