Because during a Vivaldi chorale, when the choir sings, "Gloria!" I jump in with "I think they've got your numberrrrr...."

(Singing Elmer Fudd's part during "Ride of Valkyries," though? Not my fault.)

(No, I don't know what that means. Shush.)

First, allow me to draw your attention, if it has not already been turned in that direction, toward Interfictions 2: An Anthology of Interstitial Writing, which includes an amazing story by [livejournal.com profile] shadesong. Do check itout.

And second, make sure to tune in tonight at 8 p.m. EST for this week's live broadcast of The Felis and the Chop Show, starring the inimitable team of [livejournal.com profile] maxymyllyn and [livejournal.com profile] felisdemens; you can catch the show right over here.

Thank you for your attention.

[livejournal.com profile] zarhooie just called me up to remind me that I'd promised to do some pimpage in her direction as well. Basically, she has a couple of theme mixes currently in development, and has asked me to put a feeler out (that sounds dirty/disturbing/both) for song suggestions for each.

Mix #1 is an Educational Songs Mix. Y'know, stuff like "The Elements" by Tom Lehrer, or "Why Does the Sun Shine?" by They Might Be Giants. They don't necessarily need to be science-based, but they do need to be based around one educational topic or another. I threw "Pi" and "Carbon Cycle">—both by Hard 'n' Phirm—in her direction, but came up blank from there. Anyone?

Mix #2 is considerably easier: songs whose title fit the form "___________ Girl." "American Girl," "Cornflake Girl," "Punk Rock Girl," and so on. I tossed her about 20 possibilities (yay, iTunes search!), but more are always welcome.

And thus my Thursday pimping duties are done. *hangs up lavender fedora*
