Yo, Delilah! Scissors!
Aug. 21st, 2005 10:39 pmIf there's any indication of my level of trust in
rafaela, I just let her cut my hair after she took two Sominex.
Actually, she did a really fantastic job. What was once halfway to my belt is now only halfway to my shoulders, which means I'm not brushing stuff out of my eyes while I'm typing this. This comes only days after she cut her own hair in a perfect shoulder-length bob. The girl knows how to wield the snippy-things, believe you me. I followed this up by machete-whacking my beard back to Dashing Goatee conditions, as opposed to the Disreputable Mountain Goat I had going yesterday. This all makes me happy because, honestly, the Arlo-Guthrie-on-Cuervo-shots look just isn't me.
Despite ongoing money stress (which hopefully will be alleviated if the Maude the Moo-Van trade-in this week goes as planned, knock wood), these are pretty good days:
* yesterday: visit from
botia and
icarusfallen8, complete with games, merriment, and them procuring good-but-slow Mexican food for us (we love you guys!)
* today: brunch and conversation with
rafaela's grandmother, who sent us home with challah, and a fun few-hour drop-in with
jenphalian, who sent us home with tarragon, venison stew, and a stuffed hedgehog that Anna promptly named Antoine, courtesy of
zarhooie (we love you guys, too!)
* Tuesday: visit from
catamorphism, from the wilds of some place called California (heck, we love everybody!)
* Wednesday: hangin' with Abbey and Nik, the Dancing Yard Monkeys (love love love!)
All right, the mushiness is going to my head. G'night, kids.
