Well, I think it's pretty well official that this is the flu I'm dealing with today. I feel like flaming Spartan death on a stick right now.

In happier news, the car trade-in boondoggle has been cleared up. On Wednesday, I will be surrendering my Honda Odyssey, picking up a 2001 Olds Intrigue sedan, pocketing a nice check, and never, ever going to that auto dealership again, not necessarily in that order. (Am I wrong for not trusting a guy who can't even spell the names of the car models he's been selling for years?)

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] catamorphism, I got your e-mail. Ah, well, suck. *sigh* I'm sorry this thing has turned into such a clusterfuck for you. Unfortunately I'll be working straight through 'til next Tuesday, so travel's not a feasibility, I'm afraid. Next time for sure. (And do have a good time!)

Oh, well, I figured you'd probably be busy with work. I'll try to have a good time anyway :-)

Definitely. *grin* A day-late trip to NYC is better than no trip to NYC.

Speaking of used technology, we're having a big old-tech giveaway here at Wolfram on Wednesday. I'll grab an iMac keyboard (blue if possible) for you ... is there anything else you need from that era?

Yes, things for your generation of Mac now fall in the category of "shit we are clearing out of the back closet to make room for real technology." :-)

Drop me a P-note e-mail.

Eeeee! *happydance* Thankyouthankyouthankyou!

Um...if they have, like, any USB or Firewire hubs, that'd be a good thing, if it's not too much trouble.... (I'm guessing stuff like hard drives will be snapped up like the Special Darks out of a bowl of Hershey's Miniatures.)

Glad to help! Is there anything I need to know about your Mac, like did they come in different types (G3? G4?), or will any iMac hardware do?

I'm really glad you sorted out the car mess. That guy sounds totally sleazy.

I don't trust him any further than I can throw him. Remind me to tell the whole sordid tale when this is over.

"And next on the ten o'clock news - Local scientist invents a gravitational force alteration device in an attempt to make people more trustworthy.
"In a related story - Details are still coming in on a number of human sized object currently approaching, what will now be known as the, Trustsphere (A ring around the Earth at about 20-30kM, where the air is sufficiently thin to trust passing strangers)."
