1) Lucy the Short-Bus Kitty often comes running in, meowing earnestly for no apparent reason. We typically respond with a frantic, "What is it Lucy? Trouble at the mill?" This confuses her.

2) When "Bohemian Rhapsody" came on in the car today, rafaela neglected to headbang with me at the appropriate moment, leaving me to headbang solo, which was, suffice it to say, an unsatisfying headbanging experience. I forgive her, however, because she is groovy beyond mortal comprehension, and she makes a mean spaghetti sauce.

3) For some reason, I was jonesing to see some WKRP in Cincinnati episode today. I got to explain That Quote to rafaela this afternoon. (Fans know it. Non-fans, ask a fan. Thanksgiving is involved.)

4) Whoever is responsible for pricing on inkjet printer cartridges should have their gonads chewed off by French gophers in their sleep. Just thinking out loud here.

I went with a cheap color laser for one major reason: no matter the price of ink, it's a pain when it keeps drying out when you don't use it for a while, whereas lasers use "dry toner" that's *supposed* to be dry.

Also, I did make sure to get one that came with full cartriges...and got a real screaming deal. People were buying two of this printer, because the consumables all told were twice the price of the printer itself. I'm not sure what newegg/Samsung were thinking at the time; I've seen a newer version of the unfull printer, but not a newer version of the full one. The consumables are still pretty expensive for a laser, but given I'm not likely to be going through 7k pages of black and 5k pages of color all that soon, I think I did okay money-wise anyway, even ignoring the drying-out factor.
