Totally forgot to mention, and haven't a clue why: [livejournal.com profile] rafaela and I snuck over to the Taste of the North Country, the other big event that happens that weekend every year, for a bit yesterday around lunchtime. For those of you who don't have similar events in your area (and I've found that most places do, in one form or another), T.o.t.N.C. is one of these things where dozens of local restaurants set up booths to offer samples of their wares in a sort of gigantic mutant buffet thing. What makes it the Thing I Look Forward To is the fact that the restaurants that participate are by and large among the best in the area. In other words, Adam gets to eat at all those places he normally can't afford.

So yeah, I ate myself sick. The rundown of my intake that afternoon:
* Gorgonzola Chicken Penne with Broccoli
* Roasted Stuffed Pork Loin (served with a sauce both fruity and alcoholic)
* Grilled Shrimp Bruschette
* Butternut-Apple Cream Soup with Honey-Cinnamon Sour Cream
* Passion Fruit Mousse

*foodgasm*
*realization that it's a whole year until the next one*

*siiiigghhhh*

Incidentally, the last three items were all from the Queensbury Hotel. I think I've made my birthday dinner selection for January.

Our version has either just passed or coming up shortly. It's sold out!

Last year when Dave and I took the girls to Disney, we caught the final day of the food and wine tasting festival at Epcot. Oh, yum. We gorged!

Now those are the festivals I just love.

I love the Epcot food and wine festival. I was only there the first year they did it, but my parents (who have much more money and vacation than I do) go down every year.

It was a bit costly but so well worth it! I would absolutely go again!

Out of curiousity, I was checking out your profile. You live in Binghamton?! I was born in Johnson City and my Mom was born and raised there.

That is so wild! My mom lived on Virginia Ave. and Carter in Johnson City and worked at IBM in Endicott. It really is such a beautiful lil' city.

Have you ever heard of Carousel Spiedie Mix?
