I realize that it's been some time since I've posted anything with actual content. I also realize that it's been some time since I've had enough active brain cells to put actual content into valid English sentences. So, while I'm still marking time, here's a brief recap of the last few:

[livejournal.com profile] botia and [livejournal.com profile] icarusfallen8: Awesome beyond words.
Ninja Burger and Chez Greek: Nifty.
Ball pythons: Snuggly. Yes, I'm serious.
Brownies: Groovy.
Rent, the movie: Absolutely wonderful.
Me: Sleepy.

snakes rock. A friend of mine had one that loved my hair, used to curl up and doze. It was probably the only thing that I didn't get tense about having around my neck. Mostly cause I knew it didn't think of me as squeezing practice ;)

I miss snakes.

I never had much to do with them until a couple of days ago, when I had a python curled up on my chest with its chin resting on my arm while I lounged on the sofa. Too cute.

So I shouldn't trust the approximately 67 different reviews of Rent I've read that said that the movie seemed as if it was made by residents of rural Nebraska who read People magazine?

I read some of those, too. I want to say to them, "C'mon. It's a musical, not flippin' Taxi Driver." Of course it's preposterous, as was La Boheme, the source material, and as is any movie where people suddenly leap into song for no reason. It is, however, absorbing, fun, and very, very well-made.

Funny, most of the media mouths who hate "Rent" because it's a dated piece are probably going to love "Pride & Prejudice"!

Have you seen "RENT" on the stage? I've seen it a couple of times, and I reaaaallllyy want the film to capture enough of it. And yes, the soundtrack sticks in the brain for days.

*laugh* A good point. And no, I haven't, and after this, I very much wish I had.

*shocked* There are people who think ball pythons aren't snuggly?
