slipjig3 | Weekend in Review (theme music by John Williams)

It's pretty much official: if more than one person is planning a random visit to the beautiful metropolitan Glens Falls area, they will all plan said trip for the same weekend. Go, synchronicity, go!

Thursday:

zarhooie. Lunch with the three of us and

lbitw, who left for work while we retreated back to this pit of an apartment, inflicting random music on each other, which was much the funly. Later, we all ended up at J&J's place, where

jenphalian's glorious stir-fry was had, as was much merriment and discussion of, um, stuff.

zarhooie learned the hard way about the dangers of waking

rafaela up early, and I learned that getting whacked in the groinal area still hurts like whoa. Great time; hoping Kat can make it back before school starts up.

Friday: No company, or at least none that we hung out with.

Saturday:

mgrasso. He arrived with games in tow, and thus I got formally introduced to Ticket to Ride before crawling back to work. (Dammit, I didn't need another board game addiction, but.... *amends birthday list*) While I worked,

jenphalian and

lbitw shuffled off to an office Christmas party while

mgrasso and

rafaela hung out at Chez J&J. We all reconvened at 10:15 sharp, bought pizza and Bass Ale, and stayed up 'til some obscene hour of the morning, with much merriment and discussion of, um, stuff. Truly a blast, and wonderful to see Mike again.

Sunday:

catamorphism. Proving she is utterly out of her mind, she drove hours out of her way on the day before a major job interview just to have pizza at the Harvest with

rafaela and me. So glad she did though, as she is awesome beyond awesome. She's been on my friends' list longer than anyone except

odhierre, and we'd never met before this weekend. Better late than never.

I close with a note to everybody else on my friends' list: GET OVER HERE. I'm serious. If we've never met, I want to. If we have met, I want to see you again. Socializing is good, dammit.
