Y'know, just when you think you're about to have another depressing, miserable, stomach-achingly stressful work day, something comes along to turn it around. In this case, a fire alarm went off, and we had to evacuate the building for a half-hour. And I'd even brought my coat to my desk. Woohoo!

Cool! I remember back in Illinois when we had a tornado. Everyone had to go down to the basement except us (our "office", the computer room, for some reason, had concrete supports and could survive nuclear attack, let alone a tornado). So, a few of the programmers visited us, and we chatted and played computer games all day. Fun stuff.
