So, Adam. Can you play guitar and surf LiveLournal at the same time? Yes. Yes, I can. Sort of.

I got the thing tuned up for the first time since leaving it in the back seat of the car for five days in subfreezing weather. (I know, I know. Don't rub it in.) Now I just need to figure out what I want to do with it; I have it narrowed down to (a) writing something new, (b) hunting down some Richard Shindell chords, or (c) working up that folk cover of "Punk Rock Girl" by the Dead Milkmen that I've been threatening. Hmm....

Oh, and by the way? [livejournal.com profile] taureanbabe's Oscar skills have left me in shame. *genuflects*

*preens*

It's a sad thing though that I know more about the Oscars than I do about other, possibly more important things to have memorized.

Oh well, memory is pretty cool. You never run out of room inside your head. I still have plenty of years left to continue learning interesting bits of trivia about other subjects.

Oh, God, I know how you feel: whenever someone says I'm smart for knowing some trivial thing, my reaction is always, "Dude, I can't even change the oil in my car." That said, I'd much rather have your base of knowledge than, say, complete knowledge of the U.S. tax code or something. *genuflects again*

I'm voting for "a," but a folk cover of "Punk Rock Girl" definitely intrigues me.

It strangely works as a fingerpicking thing. Go figure.

a) sounds a good plan but here's a handy link to Richard Shindell chords to save you time on b :) I love You Stay Here and have sort of got the hang of playing it..

Ahh, yes, very familiar with this site. *grin* "You Stay Here" has steadily grown on me, as has "Nora," which sadly does my voice no favors. *laugh*
