My friends' list has grown a little bit out of control as of late, requiring me to skim more often than not. For this reason, I've just done a purge of my f'list, mostly removing people with whom I've had little or no direct contact. I absolutely hate doing this, but there really wasn't much of a choice in the matter. If you've been removed and you feel this is a mistake, do drop me a line. Thanks.

*nods* I know. I've avoided that only because I want to avoid those awkward little moments: "How's it going?" "Didn't you read my LJ?" "Um...noooo...."

True, that is awkward. Personally, I would find it more awkward to unfriend someone. And one can always claim (truthfully, even) to not reliably/consistently read LJ.

Of course, the people whose journals I keep off my default view aren't ones I'm likely to run into, so that helps.
