1) Yay, functional plumbing! Our toilet now flushes properly, and by "flushes properly," I mean "flushes without having to use a coat hanger." Definite improvement.

2) I woke up [livejournal.com profile] rafaela last night by screaming in my sleep. I don't remember the dream in question, except that I was pitching a fit over something that didn't warrant such, and started spinning out of control. She was sweet enough to hold me until I calmed down again.

3) Abbey used the name "Neil Gaiman" in conversation with me the other day. I'm such a proud geek dad.

4) I think I'm going to cook something tonight. No, I don't know what.

5) Inside Deep Throat is an extraordinarily well-made documentary, but I now have to deal with the fact that Linda Lovelace, back in the day, bore a remarkable facial resemblance to an ex-girlfriend of mine. (Note to [livejournal.com profile] daev and [livejournal.com profile] odhierre: Think short and squee-ing, and tell me if I'm wrong:)

1. Yay!

2. I've been having night terrors my whole life. What she did is exactly the right thing. The worst one was when I was 6 and my family found me sound asleep, screaming, dangling by my neck from the railing on the side of my top bunk bed.

3. Yay Abbey! And even better... yay you!

4. I am going to help [livejournal.com profile] cintyber clean our kitchen next week. It needs it, and I want more counterspace because I miss cooking.

5. I have never seen Deep Throat, and only know through pop culture trivia who Linda Lovelace is.

Current music: "Disco Hospital," Coil

There's some parts of my music collection which I immediately discarded when contemplating a [livejournal.com profile] slipjig mix CD, thinking Coil is too weird for you to like. And now I discover you already listen to it.

Actually, I only own the one Coil song. On cassette. On a mix you sent me about 15 years ago. *grin* Strangely fascinating.
