slipjig3Another round of results, shall we? Two more charts for the latest division standings are behind the cut-thingy:
Biggest victory: None of the victory margins topped 90% this time; the closest was the 88% of the popular vote that Silence of the Lambs pulled in over Gymkata. (Jeez, don't everybody look shocked at once.)
Closest race: Only one real nail-biter, really, which was A.I.: Artificial Intelligence's two-vote squeak over Nixon. On the other hand, we're making up for the lack of suspense with oodles of disgruntled voters. (What's going on right now in Yellow division, though? Different story. Oy with the poodles already....)
Notes: I knew when I was writing up the initial brackets that I was going to cry at least once, when I saw that Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was up against Casablanca. *sigh* Ah, well. Not too much surprising, really; it was truly Jim Henson's week, though, as both The Dark Crystal and The Muppet Movie advanced nicely, even beating out Akira Kurosawa to do it. (Remember how I mentioned disgruntled voters earlier? Yeah. They won't be gruntled any time in the foreseeable future.)
Races to watch for: I have one thing to say, and one thing only: Fight Club vs. Clerks. I think I need to start apologizing to the geek population now, to avoid the rush. On a side note, be sure to catch The Muppet Movie and The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover on this week's episode of Double Features For When Hell Freezes Over.
