Ahh, it's good to be back after a stimulating weekend! Said weekend, mind you, included [livejournal.com profile] jenphalian, [livejournal.com profile] lbitw, [livejournal.com profile] rafaela, [livejournal.com profile] sideshownate, LJ-less Josh and I going over the Official Scrawled-on-Graph-Paper Brackets, and me being repeatedly asked what the [very bad word] was wrong with (a) the voting public, (b) me, or (c) both. Usually (b) me. (Which, come to think, is how this whole project has gone, just, y'know, not usually face-to-face.)

Anyroad, y'all know how it works. For each pairing, select the film you prefer; the winner in each match-up will advance to the next round. And the usual warning: There are two polls here, so be sure to click both submit buttons. Deadline is Tuesday, April 24 at 1 p.m. Enjoy!

EDIT: Voting is now closed for this poll; any future votes will not be counted. Thanks again!

Green Conference, Divisions A & B

[Poll #971688]

Green Conference, Divisions C & D

[Poll #971689]

Also, keep an eye out for more blitz tiebreaker polls. Thank you again!

Not voting yet, but I want to state here for the record that the hand-written graph paper brackets are clear evidence that slipjig is either the most brilliantest genius of our time... or he is going to kill us in our sleep, all ninja-like.

Wow, thank you! That has to be the best compliment I've recieved all year. *preens* Strangely, you've echoed the sentiments of Mr. Cizek, my junior high band director, who said, "Adam's the sort of person who'll either save us all or blow up the planet."

When asked why he blew up the planet, Mr. Adam replied, "I thought it was a puzzle challenge."

I wonder if I'm doing this wrong. I big the movies I think are 'the best' and I only vote if I've seen both movies. Suppose it's too late to change that now, but it has been interesting.

Honestly, I deliberately left it wide open to interpret however you wish. Some people have gone for technical greatness, others have sided with sentimental favorites, and still others use some combination of the two. Most (if not all) people I've talked to have stayed out of battles involving movies they're unfamiliar with, myself included. But whether you vote in a particular match-up, and how you determine the winner, is entirely up to you.

Not my fault! Not my fault! (Keep in mind: it's only going to get worse from here.)
