Miscellanea (assorted)
Nov. 16th, 2007 10:46 pm1) French onion soup in a proper crock makes the Adam happy.
2) If anyone else has an office supplies habit like mine, you'll appreciate the following: graph paper index cards. Ladies and gentlemen, I squee'd right there in the middle of Staples. (Not going to buy them until I can justify it.)
3) Ultra-secret message to
felisdemens and
we_happy_few (everyone else avert your eyes): Watch your mailbox in the coming days.
4) Over the weekend, I showed my kids this Rowan Atkinson clip; they thought is was so funny they made me play it again, and Abbey asked me to write down the title so she could find it later. Then I showed them this one, unfortunately forgetting about the "...then I kick him in the groin" bit. Take a wild guess as to what detail they focused on when they told Grandma about it later. (Quote from boy-child Nik: "Daddy, does 'groin' mean 'penis'"?)
5) I hate working Friday evenings with a passion. It's like being at the DMV for seven and a half hours, without the entertainment value.
6) NaNoWriMo word count: 25,300-ish. Yay, halfway mark, and only a day late! My tuchus-kicking continues tomorrow.

Date: 2007-11-19 01:50 pm (UTC)Because the first thing I thought of when I read that was, "Ooo, wait, you can lay the cards side-by-side and make modular maps out of them! Or just a really big map that you can expand as necessary, keep in a small box, and only have to lay out the parts you want to work on! Or..."
