Date: 2008-01-15 04:44 pm (UTC)Unfortunately, the brackets are already drawn up, and Princess Bride is not on them. I was trying to focus on titles with a distinctly negative reputation, and although such films as Princess Bride, Citizen Kane, Lord of the Rings, etc. have their share of folks who hate them, their overall reputations are overwhelmingly positive. Sorry. Trust me, though, there'll be plenty of painful and atrocious stuff that you will truly enjoy voting into oblivion.

Date: 2008-01-15 09:33 pm (UTC)Honestly, I'd be quite indifferent to it if THE ENTIRE WORLD wasn't out there gushing about how it's one of the best movies ever. I would have watched it once, gone 'Eh, it's ok' and never thought of it again. But because everyone else loves it, I have had to sit through it multiple times, I have to watch in despair as other people vote it as one of the best movies ever, and nobody ever thinks my opinion is valid when I happen to say that it might, say, be a piece of shit, rather than the awesomeness that everyone else thinks it is.
Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. /rant
