Three YouTubinous links, just because

1) I've been spending time with the kidlings this week, which has meant small doses of Yo Gabba Gabba! here and there, during which I was reminded why I loathe it and adore it in equal measure. Today, I had to remove myself from the carpet because they actually had a band and song that has been mix fodder of mine for years, i.e. "Count Five or Six" by Cornelius, in what has to be the hardest-rocking three minutes in the history of children's television. Sweet. (In other news, Cornelius's drummer's cute enough to make me forget my secret Meg White fetish.)

2) Speaking of Meg White, how is it that, in spite of my recent fascination with the whole mash-up thing, this little ditty managed to escape my attention completely? The two greatest pop hooks of the last thirty years layered in unholy matrimony. Papa want.

3) And finally, to celebrate Washington's Birthday, daev was kind enough to MELT MY BRAIN INTO QUIVERING LITTLE LUMPS OF SLAG, SCREAMING IN PAIN. Not even remotely work-safe.
