So the movie quotes meme/game ("Pick 15 of your favorite movies, provide a quote from each, and see who can guess what the movies are") has made a good three or four laps around my friends list by now, so I suppose it's high time I jumped in.

Of course, this being me, I couldn't just do it the easy way. Which is why all of my quotes are one word long. You're welcome.

I wish to stress a few things:

a) Each of these is a complete line, not a word taken from the middle of a larger sentence.
b) They do not represent my "favorites," necessarily.
c) Yes, I could have made this easier even within my own one-word constraint ("Rosebud." "Inconceivable!" "Plastics."). I didn't.
d) I am aware that the shortness of the quotes makes it likely that a few may have multiple answers. I apologize in advance for this, but if an alternate answer is given, I'll leave the item open for others to guess the intended answer.

So now to you: name the movie for each of the following quotes. Enjoy!

1) Wolverines! (first guessed by [livejournal.com profile] bikergeek)

2) Silencio. (first guessed by [livejournal.com profile] chris_walsh)

Right on the money with 6 and 14! I haven't seen Juno, yet, sadly. And I knew I should've spelled #3 "Noo." ([livejournal.com profile] tnjade snagged that one.)

Bravo! Correct on all except 4 and 8 (although in retrospect, I should've used "Livshitz" as one of the quotes....).

Oo! 2) is Mulholland Drive.

I saw that in the theater, so I got the full impact of THE QUITE POSSIBLY PERFECT BODY OF LAURA HERRING. Whoa. And Naomi was worthy, too...

On the other hand, I will Serpentine! my way through the original In-Laws any time. I chose not to see the updated version as I did not think they could improve upon the original.
