I've been negligent in my big-pimpin' duties, so let me get caught up on this: the ever-lovely shadesong is holding a raffle to earn tuition money to send her daughter to the Coolest School EVER this summer. (Seriously. They have classes in stuff like Hovercraft Construction and Role Playing Game Design.) Tickets are $1 a pop, with discounts for buying in bulk, and prizes range from handmade jewelry to CDs from the artists themselves to cool handcrafted knitwear to reiki to custom art and writing to food to.... Yeah. Do go and check it out. Deadline is Wednesday at 8 a.m., so get in while you can.

Heh, when I read that, I thought "that must be Explo", and yeah, I called it.

They used to have financial aid back in my day. But they didn't have hovercraft construction.

They still have the financial aid, but 'Song and family didn't find out about the camp until that deadline had already passed. Then there was the thing where they *thought* they had all the money together and ready to go, only to find out about the bus fees and some other extra charges that they had missed in the initial phase. So, raffle!
