I can't believe I completely forgot CinemaBowl yesterday. Oh, well. This'll put us a bit behind in the originally envision schedule, but I'm not in much of a hurry if you're not. Y'all know the drill by now: for each pairing, choose the director you prefer, and be sure to click both "Submit" buttons. Deadline shall be Thursday, May 15 at 9 a.m. Thanks for playing!

Am I the ONLY one who laughed out loud at the Terry Gilliam and Sam *snif* Peckinpaugh pairing?

*slaps his forehead*

Though I'm not sure how involved Gilliam was in that sketch. *scurries off to YouTube*

Check it and see!

Don't fret overly. Hey, you made the connection before I did, so you get a cookie points!

And that skit's a thing of beauty, no?

Look, I agree, when Tim Burton is bad, he's awful. I'm still struggling to figure out Mars Attacks. But even so, how the hell can Lord of the Rings possibly compare, in this universe or any other, to Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Sweeny Todd?

Talent-wise, it's no contest. Burton's a genius, whereas Jackson landed a lucky gig. I remind you that before LotR, we didn't know much about Jackson, and afterwards, he went on to remake King Kong into quite possibly one of the most mindlessly stupid remakes ever.

I happen to really love some of Jackson's earlier work. Heavenly Creatures is fantastic.

and Burton's take on some of my favorite stories *coughSweeneyToddcough* were absolutely god awful. IMO. I really think Jackson is the better director.
