So! The divine [livejournal.com profile] yuki_onna recently did a nifty post about nostalgia and 90's alternative, ending with an entreaty to, and I quote, "hit me with your 90s playlist, kittens."

Ohh, dear. Here's your worms. And a can opener.

The Alt90's Nostalgia Beast Mix of Screaming Hairy Saxon Doom is finally (nine discs later) done. (Yes, there's stuff that I could certainly include in a tenth disc, but I have no desire to do so. So there.) I refrained from dropping the entire 180-track list in the poor girl's comment box, but it occurred to me that I never did post the absolute-last-straw-final track listing, if for no other reason than to hammer the last coffin nail into place. The list? Sure! The mix itself? I can burn it to CD if you're really a-wantin', but there are a few people ahead of you in line on that, if you don't mind the wait.

Hee! And now you know how this mushroomed into nine discs that fast: because once your brain starts rotating the earworms like that, eventually it'll rotate to one that you haven't included yet, and next thing you know, it's disc 37 or some such. (And that's even without loved ones who insist on playing with your OCD habits like a bloody Slinky.)

I may have missed it, but are these by decade or in some other order known only to your masterful, wonderful, obsessive-compulsive brain? :D

Nahh, just in the order that they occur to me. When I leapt from four discs (the mix that I'd been carrying around for a few years) to six, I shuffled the entire list together and more or less started the sequencing from scratch, but every disc since then has been the alleged OMG Last One, which is why the contents of discs G, H and I are mostly non-obvious afterthoughts—except for the ones that aren't, which is why I had to add the discs in the first place. (I may not have any great love for Blind Melon's "No Rain," but to have a mix like this that doesn't include it? Just plain wrong.)

Thank you! (Although that "wow" could very easily mean, "Wow, you must have a really pathetic life to hork up something this overblown," which would not be inaccurate. But I thank you all the same. *grin*)

No that was in the "wow what a list" category. ::laughs:: I'd like that set.

Would you be willing to help me design a few crossword puzzles to hand out as part of Reptile Adventure's teacher kit? I'd need a few different levels of difficulty beginning with Kindergarten and up to but not including middle school. I'd also want a reptile/amphibian themed one and a bug themed one for each level, because I have the two different programs.

I can work with you to give you the clues and info, but I need it to look very sharp, and to be designed as kid friendly as possible.

I am also wondering if you have a good program for creating word finds?
