Since Apple (in their infinite heinie-kissing wisdom) do not allow screen grabs while the DVD player is running, none of the 4,927 third-party solutions I've tried even remotely work, and the shot doesn't seem to exist online, I was wondering if it would be possible for someone with a copy of Hamlet 2 lying around to do me a favor. Could someone send me a screen capture of the very first shot of "Act III: The Creative Process," the one with Steve Coogan staring terrified at the computer screen? ("Oh, my God...writing is so hard....") I need it for the icon I've been wanting since the moment I saw the scene in question in the theatre.

Thank you in advance!

Dude. VLC combined with Apple's own screenshot tools. Works perfectly.

Nope, tried it. Software refused to load.

Handbrake to an M4V, and screen grab from that?

Won't run on 10.2. And to head off the next question, no, I can't upgrade beyond 10.2, and yes, I've been trying.

Hunh. I'm guessing because of the 10.2 issue? Foo.

If I had the movie, of course, I'd run the screen cap.

Yup, pretty much; they have an older version, but it's apparently a buggy one. Luckily, someone pulled it from the trailer for me—geez, if I'd known it was in that....

Good!

(Oh, well, I'm still downloading it anyway because it sounds funny.)
