Fragmentary minutia

Turned in the keys to the old place, after hacking at the tub with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and inhaling rather more Easy-Off than is healthy. The raking cough lingers, but at least the pack mule experience of moving is finally over. Woohoo!
Also today, I dropped off the rent payment, window-shopped at a Hollywood Video that's going under, picked up the latest issue of Games (which I have something in), and ate a toasted bagel with lox and cream cheese, which I'd been craving since
fiddle_dragon brought up the topic during a chat this morning.
And then there was work. We'll leave that one alone, thanks.
Apropos of nothing, someone made a working printer out of Legos and a felt-tip pen. Rawk. Also, as brought to my attention by
hughcasey, it seems that according to a 1992 survey, one out of every five librarians admits to having engaged in sexual activities in the stacks. This leaves me (a) not in the slightest bit surprised and (b) jealous as all hell. (I have yet to meet anyone who ever got to wander the grad library stacks at UIUC who didn't fantasize at least once.)

Date: 2010-06-04 04:28 am (UTC)My day: wandering downtown with books, some of which I sold back to Powell's, the rest which A) will go eventually to Goodwill and B) were good upper-body exercise. Had a day off. Will have a day off tomorrow.
Glad to hear you completed the big-ass move stuff.
And as I know at least one sexy librarian, I understand where you're coming from. (The only event even anywhere vaguely near sexy that happened in the library I worked in was when I worked in the audio-visual library in the basement of U of O's library, where the screening rooms were, and I found a guy who'd sneaked in to watch porn. I sicced my boss on him. I didn't want to get too close and see WHAT the guy was doing beyond watching. Thankfully, there was something sexier in that A/V library, and that was Dana. She was cute. But I digress.)
Oh, I had a bagel today, too. My filling was a "tuna medley" that was kind of spicy, plus a little mayo in some of that tuna to tone it down and make it hang together more.
This is random, befitting the entry.
