Questions asked by You, the Reader:

What has made the hair stand up on the back of your neck? Gods, any number of things: Glen Hansard's voice ripping into the second verse of "Say It to Me Now" behind the opening credits of Once. The crescendo/decrescendo just before the jamming begins on Fairport Convention's version of "A Sailor's Life." James Burke talking about the implications of Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle. The shot on The Adventures of Baron Munchausen of the ship sailing across silver sands. That moment at the beginning of Doctor Who's "The Stolen Earth" when everyone...looks...up....

What's your favourite totally random obscure Christmas song? You're doing this simply because of my professed hatred for Christmas music, aren't you? *laugh* I was actually planning on a "Christmas Music I Don't Hate" post, but for now I'm going to go with Peter Paul and Mary's "A-Soalin'." (Learning to play that on guitar was an early victory for me.)

What's your favorite thing in/about math? Frankly, I like making numbers jump through hoops. When I was but a wee lad of a math geek, I adored stuff like the Fibonacci sequence, topology, various little human calculator tricks to annoy impress my friends. I think the reason I started doing poorly in math at the college level wasn't that it was too hard, but that it had stopped being fun.

How do you schedule your time? Um…poorly? In all seriousness, the social calendar has been rather full lately, in places where the bronchitis hasn't compromised it altogether. Easiest thing to do is to e-mail me; if I don't respond right away, it's usually a case of "omega life is all over the place AIEEE!" in which case a gentle poke would be appropriate.

Are you going to visit soon? Wondering if you can have a talk with my husband about things. Visitations will happen in the foreseeable future. Drop me an e-mail. (Is everything okay?)

What's it gonna take for the rest if the album?:D I'm working on it! I'm working on it! I just finished recording a new track a few weeks ago, which brought me up to seven tracks out of a projected ten or eleven. What I mostly need now is a chunk of time and enough focus to actually get it done. (Access to a better microphone wouldn't hurt, either.

What can we do to help? In the general sense and the direct sense. You're already doing it. Honestly. *hugs* We'll talk.

¿Porque la mantequilla es en el baño? Don't ask questions you don't want to know the answer to.

Do you ever want to time-travel, find the people who first performed fellatio and cunnilingus, and say "Thank you"? Totally. Thanks, folks!

"omega life is all over the place AIEEE!"

Whether this is a clever bit of wordplay or an overenthusiastic spell checker, I am going to use it from now on, and write Ω for OMG.
