Anywho, this sort of thing tends to become a trend when initiated during periods of boredom, so I'll ask y'all: what color(s) should I shoot for next time? Please be aware that replies of "you shouldn't" will be duly noted, then totally disregarded with much arrogant snorting. Thank you.

Date: 2011-04-12 12:55 pm (UTC)I recommend a clear base coat if you're going with a darker color, so that it doesn't stain your nails. Also, OPI makes a kickass polish that doesn't chip as readily and some of their colors are lovely. It's more expensive, but you only need 1 or 2 coats instead of 3 or 4 for the same coverage. So it depends on how long you plan to keep your nails polished, I suppose.

Date: 2011-04-13 01:54 am (UTC)also, a "proper" manicure involves an undercoat (clear), two coats of polish, and a top sealing coat. and several hours. that's how the girlies do it. i wouldn't know (much) about that... :>
