So. Yesterday. I actually accomplished something practical and overdue for a change: I finally got a shipment of puzzle submissions together to mail out to Games. (Pardon me a moment while I pat myself on the back.) Thirteen puzzles in all, the majority being miscellaneous crosswordy-things. I've actually got about another dozen things backlogged in my notebooks, but when I say that this shipment was overdue, I mean it: it's been ten months since my last batch got sent out, which doubles my previous inactivity record. If I'd waited until everything was typed and ready, It'd be somewhere in the middle of the next presidential administration. (I love typing up puzzles about as much as I'd enjoy receiving pancreatic surgery from a guy with a grapefruit spoon and a head cold.) It's a good thing I'm a freelancer, because if I were on the payroll they'd have fired my unshapely patootie by now. Wish me luck.

As for the rest of the day... Well, let's just say that remaining in bed would have been advisable. I could not get my head on straight all day: I didn't get errands done that I was supposed to do, I managed to get Abbey to the bus stop while leaving her bag in the living room, I flaked on at least a few important phone calls... Ai yi yi. Today is better already, so my fingers are crossed.

(Oh, and to [livejournal.com profile] shywickedpixie: Abbey loved her postcard (and I mine *grin*)! I'm so, so sorry that we haven't gotten your cards in the mail yet; I swear to you, this weekend. Thank you ever so much again!)
