So I'd mentioned to some of you that my birthday dinner ran into trouble when I discovered that Davidson Brothers, the restaurant in question, was closed for reasons unstated. Tonight we got to play catch-up, scheduling an unrelated dinner at Little India in Saratoga with
cluegirl and
aquila_dominus (who were planning on coming up for the birthday thing but had to rain-check because of an unforeseen work matter), as well as
botia and
icarusfallen8 (whom we hadn't seen in ages).
We all arrived on time. Little India was closed. Of course it was. Sigh.
So we regrouped, punted and headed for the Wheat Fields instead, which was a bit more of a splurge but worth the proverbial while. Wonderful food, wonderful company, dear gods do we need to do this again soon. Very much worth it.
And having typed that, I have used the last of my energy, which I need to conserve as
rafaela's grandmother has invited us for breakfast in the morning. Good night, all.
